In 1987, a young and determined Dr. Vincent Tan Kee Kim began his corporate journey as a Team Leader at Mobil Oil in Geelong, Australia. In 1993, after gaining valuable corporate experience in Australia, Dr. Vincent Tan Kee Kim returned to Kuala Lumpur and stepped into the aviation sector as District Accountant and Cargo Manager for Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS). The fast-paced airline industry tested his strategic abilities, pushing him to master financial management, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. He quickly optimized cash flow, cut unnecessary costs, and introduced improved reporting systems that enhanced transparency and profitability for SAS Kuala Lumpur.
In addition to finance, Dr. Vincent revolutionized cargo management—an essential revenue stream for the airline.
He tackled frequent shipment delays and logistical inefficiencies by implementing a data-driven cargo scheduling system.
