Shri Jagdish Chandra Hiran and Lt. Smt. Usha Hiran — as well as his elder brother and sisters. Though they lived without extravagance, their home was rich — rich in affection, in dreams, and in the silent promises they made to themselves about the lives they wanted to build.
From a very young age, Dr. Sudhir Hiran was captivated by the world of medicine. There was something deeply noble about doctors — the way they carried themselves, their crisp white coats, their calm demeanour in times of crisis. His father, Lt. Shri Jagdish Chandra Hiran, passed away when Sudhir was just 16 years old. Smt. Usha Hiran, succumbed to brain cancer in June 2012, despite undergoing treatment.
