It was January 19, 1972—a day like any other in the serene yet unforgiving terrain of his birthplace. In a humble home nestled between the folds of green hills, the cries of a newborn echoed for the first time, announcing the arrival of Shrish Kunwar, the son of Bhim Bahadur Kunwar and Bishnu Maya Kunwar.
His parents were not people of great wealth, but they were rich in values. From his father, Bhim Bahadur, he inherited an unshakable sense of discipline and a deep respect for truth. His father’s words often rang like the morning bells of the village temple—firm, guiding, and purposeful. From his mother, Bishnu Maya, he absorbed tenderness, humility, and a quiet but unbreakable strength. Together, they built the foundation of his character, instilling in him a belief that life’s true wealth was not in possessions, but in knowledge and integrity.
The landscapes of Nepal were more than just a scenic backdrop to his childhood—they were silent teachers. The snow-capped peaks that stood in eternal majesty reminded him of the strength it took to stand firm through life’s storms. The rivers that flowed tirelessly through valleys spoke of persistence. The law was no longer an abstract set of rules; it was the backbone of civilization, the silent force that held communities together. Shrish found himself not merely memorizing legal definitions, but questioning the reasoning behind them. Why were laws made a certain way? Who did they truly protect? And how could they be improved to serve the greater good?
But Dr. Shrish was never one to settle for partial understanding. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, he embarked on a path that most would find daunting—earning two separate bachelor’s degrees, each demanding rigorous study and intellectual discipline. The first, a Bachelor’s in Law from Butwal Multiple Campus, allowed him to deepen his expertise in legal frameworks, judicial reasoning, and the mechanics of justice. The second, a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Bhairahawa Multiple Campus, expanded his perspective beyond the courtroom into the broader political stage where laws are conceived, debated, and enacted.
The combination was powerful—law taught him the structure of justice, while political science taught him the dynamics of power. One was the skeleton, the other the bloodstream. Together, they formed a holistic understanding of governance and societal order.

When Dr. Shrish Kunwar completed his formal education, he did not choose a single lane to travel. Instead, he stepped onto two equally demanding and profoundly impactful paths—each calling to a different part of his intellect and heart. The other was the rigorous, often unforgiving arena of law, where he would advocate for justice and fairness at the highest level.
