Dr. Ravisankar Neelam was born and raised in the Guduru Krishna District Andhra Pradesh India, a place known for its historical significance and cultural richness. Growing up in a middle class family, life was not always easy, but it was filled with love, discipline, and a sense of responsibility. His father, Mr. Ekambareswara Rao Neelam a dedicated postmaster, a man of great integrity and commitment to his profession. He was well respected in the community, not just for his role in public service but also for his wisdom and guidance. He believed that education was the key to success and instilled in his children the value of knowledge and continuous learning. Though his father is no longer with him, Dr. Ravisankar Neelam carries forward his legacy, living by the principles of honesty and hard work that were deeply ingrained in him.
Dr. Ravisankar Neelam was not alone in his journey. He grew up with an elder brother and an elder sister, both of whom played a vital role in shaping his early years. As the youngest, he always looked up to them, learning important life lessons through their experiences. Their home was a place of laughter, discipline, and shared responsibilities, where each family member supported one another Despite the modest means of his upbringing, his parents made significant sacrifices to ensure that he and his siblings received a good education. They instilled in him the belief that one’s background should never limit one’s ambitions. From a young age, Dr. Ravisankar Neelam was deeply focused on his studies. While other children spent time playing, he was busy learning and dreaming of becoming a civil engineer. His father, Mr. Ekambareswara Rao Neelam, always encouraged him to work hard in school, believing that education was the key to a better future. This support kept Dr Ravi Sankar motivated and determined to achieve his goals.
Dr Ravi Sankar started his schooling at a Government Elementary School in Andhra Pradesh, where he completed Grades 1 to 5. He was a bright student, always eager to learn new things. His teachers noticed his curiosity and passion for subjects like math and science, which later became the core of his engineering studies.
For Grades 6 to 10, he attended Zilla Parishad High School in Andhra Pradesh. Here, his love for civil engineering grew stronger. He was fascinated by how buildings, roads, and bridges were constructed. He spent hours learning and understanding the concepts behind structures and design, knowing that one day, he would turn these ideas into reality.
Phase 3 : The Professional Life

Dr. Ravisankar Neelam stepped into the world of civil engineering in 1998, armed with a degree, dreams, and an unshakable determination to make a difference. His first job at Soma Enterprise Ltd was an opportunity to put his knowledge to the test. The company assigned him to the NMDC Bailadila Project in Chhattisgarh, a large scale mining infrastructure project that required precision, endurance, and an ability to adapt quickly to the demands of the field. For a young engineer, it was a daunting yet thrilling environment, with massive machine foundations to be laid and intricate engineering designs to be executed. The iron ore mines, the constant hum of heavy machinery, and the sheer scale of operations made it clear that engineering was not just about calculations on paper but about ensuring that structures stood firm against time and nature.
The project was intense, and the learning curve was steep. Days often stretched into nights as he worked tirelessly to understand every aspect of the job. The heat, the dust, and the long hours were challenges that tested his resilience, but he refused to back down. He learned the importance of coordination between teams, the significance of precision in execution, and the necessity of adapting quickly to solve on-site challenges. His supervisors noticed his dedication, and with each completed task, he earned more responsibility.
After gaining valuable experience in industrial infrastructure, Dr Ravi Sankar moved to Assam in the early 2000s to work on the Subansiri Dam Project. The transition from mining infrastructure to dam construction was a significant shift, bringing with it an entirely new set of challenges. Constructing a hydroelectric dam required a deep understanding of structural engineering, water pressure management, and geological assessments. The site was remote, surrounded by unpredictable weather and difficult terrain, but he embraced the challenge. He found himself drawn to the intricacies of dam construction, fascinated by how structures could be designed to withstand the immense force of water while remaining operational for decades.
The project tested his patience and endurance, as it required meticulous planning and flawless execution. There were days when torrential rain threatened progress, and nights spent re-evaluating designs to ensure the highest level of safety. Despite the hardships, the experience expanded his expertise and deepened his love for engineering. He was no longer just an ambitious engineer—he was becoming a leader, someone who understood not just the technicalities of construction but also the resilience needed to complete projects against all odds.
In the late 2000s, an opportunity arose that would take his career to an international level. He joined Sandvik Asia Ltd, a Sweden-based multinational company specializing in industrial machinery. Moving from civil construction to industrial engineering, he found himself responsible for the erection and commissioning of high-power machines used in mining, manufacturing, and construction. One of his most notable projects was for Tata Steel, where he played a critical role in installing one of the world’s largest crushers.
Despite his success in the industrial sector, he felt a strong pull back toward his original passion—civil engineering and infrastructure development. He wanted to contribute to India’s rapidly growing need for better roads, bridges, and urban infrastructure. In the mid-2000s, he returned to Soma Enterprise Ltd, where he worked on bridge and road construction projects.
By 2015, Dr Ravi Sankar knew it was time to take a bold step forward. With nearly two decades of experience behind him, he decided to establish his own company, Sreeven Infratech, in Hyderabad. It was not just a business venture—it was the realization of a lifelong dream. He had spent years working for others, proving his abilities and gaining knowledge from some of the best in the industry. Now, it was his turn to build something of his own.
In the early years, the company operated with a modest turnover of ₹1 crore. Every project was executed with precision, every contract was handled with professionalism, and every challenge was met with determination. Word spread quickly about the company’s efficiency and commitment to quality, and soon, larger projects started coming in. Within a few years, the company’s turnover grew to ₹50 crores. The growth was a result of relentless hard work, a strong network, and a clear vision for the future.
