This biography is first and foremost dedicated to Almighty Allah, whose mercy, guidance, and divine presence have been my constant source of strength. Every step I have taken, every trial I have endured, and every success I have achieved is by His will and grace. In moments of uncertainty, it was faith that lifted me. In times of struggle, it was prayer that carried me through. This journey belongs to Him before anyone else.
To my beloved parents—my father, a humble and hardworking construction worker, and my mother, whose quiet strength anchored our family through the storms of life. You both sacrificed more than words can ever express. You lost much during Mauritius’ difficult transformation, yet never allowed us to lose hope. Your courage laid the foundation upon which I’ve built my life. Every achievement, every step forward, carries the mark of your resilience and unconditional love.
To my wife, Bibi Nazima Anowar—my unwavering support, my confidante, and the pillar beside me through every chapter of this journey. Your presence has been a blessing beyond measure. In the darkest nights, you held the light. When exhaustion overtook me, you gave me calm. You stood beside me not just as a spouse, but as a true partner, walking with me in faith, loyalty, and love. This story, like every part of my life, is incomplete without you.
To my son, Mohammad Mubeen Ul Haqq Anowar—your strength, dedication, and sense of responsibility fill me with pride. Watching you grow into the role of a leader in the business I built has been one of the most fulfilling moments of my life. You carry this legacy forward not just with skill, but with heart. I see in you a continuation of the dreams I once held in my own hands.
To my daughter, Bibi Oume Ayman Anowar—your compassion, your insight, and your faith remind me daily that the values we raised you with have taken root. You are a reflection of everything beautiful and hopeful in this world, and I thank Allah every day for the joy you bring into our lives. Your presence is a light, and your love is a gift I cherish deeply.
And to every soul who believes their beginnings are too small to dream big—may this story remind you that no hardship is wasted, no struggle unseen, and no prayer unanswered. With faith, perseverance, and support from those who matter most, anything is possible.
Dr. Nasser Anowar
Born on the 8th of September, 1959, in the midst of Mauritius, Dr. Nasser Anowar came into a world. The island nation was on the cusp of independence, but at the time, it was still wrestling with the heavy-handed grip of colonialism. The declaration of martial law before Mauritius gained independence left deep scars on its people. For Dr. Nasser Anowar and his family, those early years were marked by loss, instability, and the harsh challenges of survival.
His father, a dedicated construction worker, and his mother, a devoted housewife, were simple people who poured their energy into their children despite the chaos surrounding them. The family lost much during the turbulence of those years—possessions, security, and most painfully, a sense of home. Forced to move from one place to another, they rebuilt their lives from scratch more than once, each time with greater difficulty. And yet, each fall was followed by a rise, and this resilience became the cornerstone of Dr. Nasser Anowar’s identity.
Dr. Nasser Anowar grew up in this era of uncertainty, absorbing the values of perseverance, sacrifice, and hope. While the world around him was unpredictable, there was one constant in his life his passion for football. On dusty streets and open fields, barefoot and carefree, he played with an unmatched spirit. Football became more than a game for him; it was a temporary escape, a glimpse into a world where effort and strategy led to clear outcomes a sharp contrast to the unpredictability of real life.
Education, however, was a different story. The political strife and socio-economic challenges made schooling an uphill battle. Resources were scarce, books were hand-me-downs, and the environment wasn’t always conducive to learning. Yet, Dr. Nasser Anowar never let go of his dream to study, even as war and hardship loomed over his country. He walked long distances to attend school, studied under kerosene lamps, and depended on the unwavering support of his parents, who made enormous sacrifices to keep him in education. They believed in him, and that belief became his fuel.
He was not alone in his journey. His siblings also navigated their own paths. His elder sister rose to become a company supervisor, his brother pursued accounting, while his younger sisters carved independent careers—one becoming a self-employed professional and the youngest, a self-employed teacher. The Anowar household may have been modest in material wealth, but it was rich in ambition, discipline, and unity.
Despite the hurdles, Dr. Nasser Anowar passed his School Certificate through Cambridge University in 1976 and earned his General Certificate of Education from London University in 1978. These academic accomplishments marked the first victories of many to come. Notably, he pursued further professional studies, earning a Diploma in Modern Management from Jersey University in 1980, a qualification that would later serve as a foundational pillar in his future business ventures.
Every life-altering dream has an origin, and for Dr. Nasser Anowar, it began in quiet observations watching elderly citizens, widows, and first-time pilgrims struggle to organize their journeys to Hajj. He noticed the long queues outside offices, the confused faces trying to understand foreign visa rules, and the emotional burden many endured while trying to fulfill what was, for them, the most sacred journey of a lifetime. This wasn’t just about paperwork. It was about dignity, respect, and faith.
The more he witnessed these challenges, the more restless he became. He began to feel that he was being called by circumstance, by compassion, and by God to do something about it. He wasn’t from a business background, but he had something many entrepreneurs lack: genuine intent to serve. That pure intention became the seed of what would eventually grow into NNMA (Anowar) HOLDING LTD.
Then came a defining moment. In 2009, he officially founded NNMA (Anowar) HOLDING LTD, turning his vision into action. It wasn’t easy. He had no big investors or glamorous offices. He had hard work, faith, and the support of his wife—his unwavering partner in life and ambition. She stood beside him through every decision, every late night, and every moment of doubt. He would often say, “She is the reason I never gave up.” Together, they formed the emotional foundation of the business.
Dr. Nasser Anowar began with small steps. He started by offering basic pilgrimage packages to Saudi Arabia—visas, transport, accommodations—all arranged with meticulous care. Word spread quickly that this new agency wasn’t like the others. Clients praised the honesty, the affordability, and the kindness they experienced. What began as a modest travel office soon began to expand.
Over time, NNMA HOLDING LTD diversified its offerings, eventually founding GREEN TRAVEL AGENCY, a subsidiary focused on international tourism across the Middle East and Europe. Today, their tours take clients across Turkey, Jordan, Iran, France, and beyond—with personalized service and a promise of trust.
Dr. Nasser Anowar’s participation in global travel forums gave him the insight he needed to modernize and innovate. He proudly represented Mauritius and his company at major international events—the Halal Tourism Conference in Konya (2016), the International French Travel Market in Paris (2023), and the Islamic Pilgrimage Forums in Saudi Arabia (2022 to 2025). He was welcomed by the Minister of Tourism of Jordan at the International French Travel Market in Paris (2023) and met with the Deputy Minister of Tourism in Iran.
Behind every great journey stands a support system, often quiet and humble, yet powerful beyond measure. For Dr. Nasser Anowar, that support system was and continues to be his family. From the early days of adversity to the heights of international recognition, family and faith were the two forces that grounded him and propelled him forward.
Dr. Nasser Anowar was born into a close-knit family, where love was not expressed through luxuries but through shared hardship and unwavering commitment to one another. His father, a hard-working construction worker, and his mother, a gentle and resilient homemaker, gave everything they had for their children’s futures. When Mauritius experienced political instability during the late colonial years and martial law turned everyday life into survival, his parents lost more than possessions they lost security, and the certainty of a peaceful home. But they never lost their values or faith. Through these challenges, Dr. Nasser Anowar’s parents remained pillars of strength. Their resilience taught their children that the greatest wealth lies in character. They instilled discipline, humility, and the courage to start again no matter how many times life knocks you down. “My parents didn’t have money to give,” Dr. Nasser Anowar often reflects, “but they gave me the strength to face the world and that was worth everything.”
The Anowar siblings each grew up carrying the torch of these values. Dr. Nasser Anowar’s elder sister became a company supervisor, demonstrating leadership in the corporate world. His brother found his niche in accounting, a profession built on precision and integrity. His younger sisters charted their own paths in self-employment one in business and the youngest in teaching. Each of them, in their own way, carried the family’s spirit of self-reliance and service.
Within this family tapestry, Dr. Nasser Anowar carved his own role first as a son, then as a student, and eventually as a man of responsibility and vision. But perhaps the most transformative chapter in his personal life came when he met the woman who would become his life partner and source of enduring support his wife.
In a world that demanded so much of him, she became his calm. Where he saw challenges, she saw opportunities. When exhaustion loomed, her quiet encouragement gave him the energy to continue. She stood beside him through every government job transfer, every late night spent planning the business, and every overseas trip taken to represent the company. She was not just a companion she was his co-dreamer.
