Phase 1 : Humble Beginnings in Dhaka

On a chilly winter night, as the world prepared to welcome a new year, a small household in Dhaka, Bangladesh, celebrated the arrival of a newborn. It was December 31, 1985, the final day of the year, when Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin was born into a family that was rich in values, even if not in material wealth. His birth was more than just a moment of joy—it was a symbol of hope and aspirations for his family.
His grandparents, originally from Assam, India, had made Tangail, Dhaka their home. They carried with them the dreams of a better future, one built on hard work, education, and integrity. His father, a dedicated surveyor in the Pathrail UP, spent long hours meticulously working with maps and land records, ensuring that boundaries were drawn with fairness and precision. His mother, a devoted homemaker, managed the family with warmth, ensuring that her children were nurtured with love, discipline, and strong moral values. Together, they provided a stable yet humble foundation for their three children.
Dr. Ruhul was the middle child, sandwiched between an elder brother who would later become a businessman and a younger sister who would carve her own path in the medical field. This dynamic within the family played a crucial role in shaping his personality. He learned responsibility early on, as he was expected to follow his elder brother’s disciplined example while also looking out for his younger sister.

After completing his 12th grade at Govt. M.M. Ali College, he knew that if he wanted to make something of himself, he had to move out of his hometown. The shift from a small town to a fast-paced metropolitan city was both exciting and overwhelming. Dhaka, with its towering buildings, endless traffic, and constant motion, was a world away from the life he had known. The city had a pulse of its own—one that seemed to demand ambition and perseverance from anyone who dared to make a name here.
For Dr. Ruhul, this was more than just a move it was a leap of faith. He had always been ambitious, but now he found himself surrounded by thousands of others who were just as determined, just as hungry for success. The competition was fierce, and the pressure to excel was immense. However, rather than feeling intimidated, he saw this as an opportunity to challenge himself.

Despite his IT education and experience in journalism, securing a stable job in New York was not easy. The competition was fierce, and his qualifications did not guarantee immediate success. Without financial backing or established connections, he had to start from scratch. o make ends meet, Dr. Ruhul took up a job in a restaurant, working long, gruelling hours cleaning tables, taking orders, and sometimes even helping in the kitchen. The physical exhaustion was immense, but the experience was invaluable. It was here that he learned resilience, adaptability, and the importance of hard work.
Each day brought new challenges. There were times when he questioned his decision to leave Dhaka, moments of loneliness when he missed his family, and days when exhaustion threatened to break his spirit. But deep down, Dr. Ruhul knew that this struggle was temporary. He was willing to endure hardship for a greater goal.
