His childhood years were closely connected with his maternal grandfather, Meetha Lal Ji Bhatt, whose influence introduced him to the importance of knowledge, Sanskrit, and spiritual traditions. The environment around him encouraged curiosity, discipline, and a respect for learning that continued to remain a significant part of his life.
His educational journey developed alongside personal responsibilities and changing circumstances. While he carried aspirations of pursuing higher studies and building a professional career, difficult financial situations required him to make choices beyond academics. These experiences introduced him to the realities of responsibility at a young age and strengthened his ability to face challenges with patience and determination. Even when circumstances interrupted his regular education, he continued to value learning and completed his Bachelor of Commerce from Techno Global University.
Alongside his education, his connection with astrology and Karmakand began developing from his early years. What started through observation, guidance, and self-learning gradually transformed into a dedicated professional journey. The knowledge he received from experienced guides, including Harivardhan Jay Vaidya and Bhavesh Shukla, helped him understand the importance of practical experience along with traditional learning. Over time, he developed his own approach towards astrology, spiritual practices, and guiding individuals through difficult phases of their lives.
For him, this path has always been more than a profession. His work has been guided by honesty, ethical responsibility, and the belief that people deserve truthful guidance. He believes that solutions should be offered with understanding and sincerity rather than false promises. This approach helped him build relationships where many people began seeing him not only as a guide but also as someone they could trust and rely upon.
His connection with spirituality has also remained closely linked with service. The teachings received from his elders and mentors shaped his belief in helping others without expecting recognition in return. Supporting people through guidance, assisting those who require help, and contributing towards the welfare of others became important expressions of his values.

Phase 1: The Roots of Values, Learning and Cultural Awakening
Dr. Manish Upadhyay was born in Theekariya, Banswara, Rajasthan, a place that became the first chapter of his life journey. His early years were spent in the care of his maternal family, where he grew up in an environment shaped by simplicity, learning, and traditional values. Staying at his maternal uncle’s home during childhood brought him closer to his grandfather, Meetha Lal Ji Bhatt, whose teachings, discipline, and approach towards education became one of the strongest influences in shaping his thoughts and understanding of life.
The first years of his education were spent under the guidance and care of his maternal grandfather. From the first to the fifth standard, he studied while staying with him, experiencing an atmosphere where education was not limited to books but was connected with discipline, traditions, and learning through observation. The environment around him introduced him to Sanskrit, spiritual practices, and the importance of sharing knowledge with others. His grandfather had established a Sanskrit learning tradition where children could study without any financial expectation. For him, education was never a transaction; it was a responsibility towards society.
The values he witnessed during those years remained deeply connected with his personality. Meetha Lal Ji Bhatt dedicated himself to teaching children without accepting any gifts or payments in return. Over time, he guided around 350 to 400 children through Sanskrit education, following the belief that knowledge should reach those who seek it. This approach left a lasting impression on him, and the same thought gradually became a part of his own outlook towards helping others.
After spending his early childhood with his maternal grandfather, he returned to live with his parents from the sixth standard onwards. His schooling continued at Theekariya, where he completed his education up to the tenth standard. Later, he studied in the K Colony School for his eleventh and twelfth standards. During his school years, he developed a strong interest in Mathematics and Sanskrit, subjects that reflected both his analytical thinking and his connection with traditional knowledge.
His childhood was not confined to academics alone. From an early age, he carried a natural inclination towards writing and creativity. He often wrote poems and remained connected with literary expression. His interest in writing became visible when he participated in a state-level competition and secured recognition for his work. Along with writing, he developed a deep connection with music and devotional practices. Even today, he finds peace in spending time with his harmonium, playing devotional songs, and connecting with spirituality through music.
Cultural activities also became an important part of his early development. During his school years, he participated in various competitions and activities that contributed to his confidence and personality. He secured the first position in the Sanskritik (Cultural) Competition in the Geet category, organised by the Rajasthan Ucch Madhyamik Shiksha Board, Banswara, during 2000–2001. He also received the third prize in the district-level Dr. Daulat Singh Kothari Memorial Essay Writing Competition organised by Rajasthan Rajya Pathyapustak Mandal in 2000.

Phase 2 : Education, Responsibilities and the Turning Point of Circumstances
During the school years, Dr. Manish Upadhyay’s remained connected with his studies while also understanding the responsibilities his family was carrying. After completing his schooling up to the tenth standard, he continued his eleventh and twelfth education at Govt. Senior Secondary School, K Colony, Banswara. His interest in commerce developed during this period, and he chose the stream with a clear ambition of building a career as a Chartered Accountant. The subjects connected with commerce appealed to him because they offered a structured understanding of accounts, business, and financial systems.
However, life presented circumstances that required him to look beyond personal aspirations. While continuing his studies, he also supported his family by helping his father with work. His father, Hemant Upadhyay, worked as a labourer at Sintex, and during those years, every contribution towards managing the household mattered. After returning from school, he would assist with his father’s work, balancing education and family responsibilities together. Due to these circumstances, his academic performance during higher secondary education was affected, but his desire to continue learning never faded.
His path took a difficult turn after completing his twelfth standard when his father’s health condition became a concern. The family’s financial situation had grown challenging, and he had to make a decision that changed the course of his life. Leaving behind his regular education, he stepped into responsibilities and moved towards Gujarat, which later became his working base. This was a period where personal responsibilities took priority, requiring him to adapt quickly and find a way forward.
Even though circumstances interrupted his educational path, the importance of education remained deeply rooted in his thinking. The words of his teacher Prabhakar Trivedi continued to stay with him. During his eleventh and twelfth standards, he had received a valuable lesson from him that education is something that can never be divided or taken away. According to that teaching, possessions and circumstances may change, but knowledge remains a lifelong strength that belongs to the individual. This thought continued to influence his belief in learning and personal development.
After moving away from his regular education, he continued to carry the desire to complete his graduation. Since he had already chosen commerce, he decided that completing a degree was important. He believed that education was not only about qualifications but also about having a foundation that represented his dedication and effort. Later, he completed his Bachelor of Commerce from Techno Global University, achieving 74.33 percent marks.
The decision to complete his graduation came from a place of self-respect and determination. During the challenging phase when his education was interrupted, he had experienced situations where people questioned his academic journey. Those experiences strengthened his belief that he needed to complete his degree and continue moving forward despite the difficulties around him.

Phase 3 : The Spiritual Foundation and the Path Towards Vedic Knowledge
While staying with his grandfather during early years, Dr. Manish Upadhyay observed the way spiritual education was shared with dedication and discipline. The regular presence of children coming to learn Vedic knowledge and Sanskrit created a strong impression on him. He listened to the chants, observed the rituals, and gradually absorbed the principles of Karmakand through continuous exposure. These experiences became the foundation of his understanding of traditional practices.
His journey into this field began while he was still studying. Around the time he was in the tenth standard, he started becoming actively involved in Karmakand and astrology. What began through interest and observation slowly developed into a deeper pursuit of knowledge. He did not approach the subject only through theoretical understanding; he wanted to learn through practical experience and guidance from those who had spent years mastering these traditions.
One of the earliest and most important influences in his learning path was his maternal grandfather, who introduced him to the discipline of Karmakand. The teachings he received created a connection between knowledge and service, showing him that spiritual practices were not merely rituals but also a responsibility towards guiding people.
As he continued exploring astrology, he focused on learning through self-study and practical experiences. His search for deeper understanding took him to different mentors who helped him develop a broader perspective. He spent time with Ram Krishna Rawal, son of Nathulal Ji Rawal, where he stayed for nearly a year and learned further aspects of astrology and traditional practices. This period gave him exposure to a more detailed understanding of the subject and strengthened his commitment towards learning.
After this phase, he returned to Gujarat and continued his journey there. During this period, he worked under the guidance of Harivardhan Jay Vaidya, from whom he gained valuable practical knowledge of astrology. His association with him became one of the most significant parts of his learning journey because it helped him understand the difference between knowing traditions and applying them correctly in real situations.
He also received important guidance from Bhavesh Shukla, who further enriched his understanding of astrology. The knowledge gained through these experiences helped him gradually develop confidence and begin his own practice. Alongside these mentors, he continued learning through dedication, observation, and continuous improvement.
