As a seasoned educator with a passion for knowledge and innovation, her father served as a source of motivation for her because of his commitment to academic excellence and service. He was the only source of inspiration for her. She obtained an understanding of the significance of integrity, knowledge, and consistency via her experiences, which would later come to define her approach to leadership. As a result of early introduction to education and professional ethics, Dr. Ashna was able to lay the groundwork for her lifelong pursuit of work that is motivated by a sense of purpose at an early age. Her ambition to expand her academic and professional horizons led her to pursue further studies in Melbourne, Australia. There, she deepened her expertise in business and human resource management, strengthening her strategic understanding of the field. She moved to Australia to seek more advanced education. Since Dr. Ashna was adamant on realizing her full potential, she relocated to accomplish the objectives she had set for herself. With the opportunity to reside in a different nation, it not only facilitated the acquisition of academic qualifications but also assisted her in developing greater self-sufficiency, broadened her understanding of the world, and provided her with exposure to worldwide professional standards.
In the course of these formative years, she discovered that she had a strong interest in human resources, not just as a field of study but also as a profession that would allow her to bring about the empowerment of others. Alongside this passion, Ashna also began studies in law, further broadening her understanding of organizational and legal frameworks. Upon relocating back to Mauritius, she started her professional career in human resources from the ground up. Her first professional role laid the foundation for a series of annual promotions that highlighted not just her technical skill but also her propensity for leadership. These advancements highlighted her capacity to lead others. She was routinely recognised as one of the most outstanding employees in her department as a consequence of the tireless efforts that she put forth. During this phase, she took stock of her abilities in the areas of strategic problem-solving, mentorship of teams, and performance management. She realised that quality speaks for itself, which was a significant lesson that she learnt. This was something that she was able to achieve by rising up on her own without needing external acclaim.

Her father was a highly respected expert in information technology at the University of Mauritius.
