As a female truck driver in northern Canada, she was one of the few women in the field, dealing with gender bias and skepticism about her capabilities. These early struggles, however, fueled her determination and led her to become one of the first female well foam clean-out supervisors in the region. Her career was not without hurdles, she had to prove herself time and time again but with every obstacle, Dr. Keach rose stronger, driven by a commitment to break barriers for herself and others.

Her path into Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) came when she transitioned from hands-on roles to safety management. Over the years, she has held several leadership roles in major organizations, most notably as an HSE Manager at SLB in Houston, Texas, where she manages safety across a workforce of more than 6,000 employees. Dr. Keach’s expertise and impact in safety management and risk mitigation have been recognized globally. Her efforts in the Permian Basin resulted in a 22% reduction in TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate), a testament to her leadership in driving safety improvements in a complex and high-risk industry.
