His mother, on the other hand, was loving and taught him the importance of family, humility, and community.

Dr. Sivadas grew up in the town of Seremban, which is situated about two hours from Kuala Lumpur, the lively capital city. Nestled in the heart of Negeri Sembilan, Seremban offers a blend of multicultural traditions, bustling markets, and lush landscapes. Sivadas experienced vibrant local festivals, sampled traditional foods at the hawker stalls, and developed close friendships within a tight-knit community. Growing up in Seremban, he was influenced by the town’s distinctive cultural traditions and friendly community, which equipped him well for journeys outside his hometown. It was here that he spent most of his formative years, absorbing the local culture, learning life’s essential lessons, and navigating through his primary and secondary schooling days at the Anglo Chinese School (ACS), Seremban. At Aik Seng Wooden Products, located at Mentakab, Pahang, the challenge was clear: as a family business, there was a deep-rooted culture and established way of doing things. However, for Dr. Sivadas, this wasn’t an obstacle but an opportunity. It was an opportunity to bring fresh perspectives, to innovate, and to apply the leadership skills he had begun to develop during his time as a draftsman. Aik Seng Wooden Products was known for its production of wooden furniture components, and though the business was thriving in its niche, there was a significant need for operational improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

As the first and only hired manager, Dr. Sivadas was faced with the challenge of guiding a company with a traditional approach to a more streamlined, modern operation. His leadership philosophy was clear: leadership is not about asserting control but about taking responsibility and guiding others toward a shared vision. His role at Aik Seng Wooden Products became a proving ground for his abilities to influence change, not through command but through collaboration, respect, and strategic thinking.
