Dr. Amit Singh’s story is not one of privilege; it’s one of purpose. He shaped his fate with hard work, faith, and humility, and his journey embodies the enduring teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, influenced by dedication to duty and steadfast faith in Shirdi Sai Baba: that one should act with sincerity and entrust the outcomes to the divine. Dr. Amit Singh is a living example of the saying “success earned with integrity is success that lasts,” having been through a lot of trials, successes, and changes.
Dr. Amit Singh was born in Agra District, Uttar Pradesh, India, on 12 july 1978. He grew up in a home full of values and with the steady hands of his parents, Shri J.V. Singh and Smt. Jyoti Singh. His father’s disciplined service in the Indian Air Force and his mother’s quiet devotion were the first things that inspired him. He wasn’t very good at school when he was a kid, but the world outside the classroom taught him. His mother taught him how to care about others, his father taught him how to be responsible, and life itself taught him how to be strong. He said during his interview, “I was never the best student, but I always wanted to try again.” That spirit of not giving up became his biggest strength.
Dr. Amit has always had a natural charm. He was sure of himself, and he showed it in sports, theatre, and when he talked to other people. He wasn’t just taking part; he was learning how to talk to people, understand them, and enjoy being with them. He didn’t know it, but these traits were getting him ready for a life of sales and leadership. He was very good at lawn tennis, table tennis, and football, and he played for his school and state at a high level. His time on stage in Doordarshan serials and theatre workshops taught him how to be calm and present, two traits that would later help him become a successful sales leader and entrepreneur.
It wasn’t easy to live life after school. Dr. Amit navigated through uncertainty with an open mind and a desire to learn, even though he didn’t have much help or money. He spent his early years exploring, trying out different paths and taking computer classes. He even provided training on MS Office to the Uttar Pradesh Police. These experiences gave him a deeper understanding of human behaviour and communication, as well as the value of sincerity. In his words, “My English was weak, my resources were few, but my will was strong.”
He didn’t accidentally or forcefully enter the world of sales; it was a calling. For him, selling was never just about the goods; it was about making connections, building trust, and having a purpose. He once said, “Sales is helping others, not pushing things they don’t need.” This is a philosophy that is not common in a world where numbers are often the most important thing. His love of talking to people and convincing them turned into a skill. Dr Amit Singh worked diligently and believed in himself to rise from door-to-door marketing to corporate leadership. He showed that the heart of sales is not persuasion but service.
Dr. Amit Singh grew up in a home that valued discipline and devotion. It was a place where people lived their faith instead of preaching it, and where simplicity was a value instead of a problem. He was born in the Agra District of Uttar Pradesh, where every day began with prayer and every lesson, spoken or unspoken, was taught with humility. Sai Baba’s unseen hand guided his journey from the very beginning, and his divine grace would become the spiritual compass of his life.
Shri J.V. Singh, his father, was in the Indian Air Force. He didn’t say much, but he had strong morals. The airbase became Amit’s first classroom because of its order, discipline, and quiet bravery. He saw his father act with a strong sense of duty—every fold of his uniform was perfect, every action was planned, and every promise was kept. Amit learned about karma yoga from him. This is the Gita’s eternal message that doing your duty sincerely, without expecting anything in return, is the best way to worship. His father taught him this lesson: to work with pride and do your best, no matter how simple the job.
Amit was curious and expressive as a child. He was more interested in people than in toys or things. He was interested in how they spoke, acted, and connected with each other. He often copied his teachers or neighbours in a way that was both amusing and accurate. His parents saw something special in him that set him apart from others. When his father’s job brought the family to Nasik, a town near Shirdi, it seemed like fate itself was working to strengthen that bond with faith. When Amit was two or three years old, he would go to Sai Baba’s shrine with his parents. He would sit quietly in the temple courtyard, looking at the saint’s statue as if he knew it was a friend. Years later, he would remember those times as the first time he felt safe without knowing why.
Dr. Amit Singh’s journey from a curious boy from a small town to a man of action and vision started with a simple truth: school is just the beginning of learning. As he got older, his restless energy and desire to learn about the world around him grew stronger than any book could hold. Discipline in his early years had given him structure; now, experience would make him stronger.
Young Amit at Kendriya Vidyalaya wasn’t the kind of student who cared about grades; he cared about understanding. He was very observant and always asked “why?” instead of “what?” He often joked that studies never interested him, but it was clear that he was smart. This was clear in the way he interacted with people, how sensitive he was to their feelings, and how he learned from the world. He was more interested in how things worked in the real world than how they were written down. The classroom couldn’t hold back his imagination, so life outside of it became his real teacher.
Sports became his way to show self-control and talk about himself. He found meaning in working together and being determined, whether it was on the tennis court, the football pitch, or the table tennis table. He learned how important it is to be persistent, strong, and ready by representing his school at different levels. Every win felt like it was deserved, and every loss taught me something. Those experiences taught him something that no lecture ever could: that talent alone does not guarantee success; consistency and attitude do.
He was also interested in theatre and performance, which made him feel like he belonged. He found a way to express himself through acting in Doordarshan serials, telefilms, and stage productions. The stage made him more confident and taught him how to stand up straight, and he gave him a voice that could move people. Later, when he talked to teams, clients, or business partners, the same voice—calm, clear, and convincing—would earn their respect and trust.
There is a turning point in every great story, when things become clear after being unclear. Dr. Amit Singh didn’t get to this point by chance; he worked hard to get there. His life up to this point had been a steady rise of learning, watching, and doing. It was time to put everything he had learned to the test in the real world.
Dr. Amit Singh was entering the corporate world for the first time when he started working for HDFC Standard Life Insurance. It took both confidence and flexibility to go from casual jobs and early hustles to a structured organization. The world of sales was fast, cutthroat, and not forgiving. But to him, it was also exciting because it confirmed his belief that every conversation could lead to something good.
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at HDFC, he was in charge of leading teams, meeting sales goals, and understanding how customers think. Most people thought sales was about convincing people, but for Amit, it was about having a purpose. He once said, “Sales isn’t just selling something to someone; it’s finding a way to solve a problem they didn’t know how to solve.”
He learnt to pay attention to what the customer was saying, how they sounded, and how comfortable they were. That ability to understand and manage emotions quickly became his superpower. He didn’t try to sell things; he built trust. His team met and exceeded their goals with his help, which got him noticed early on as one of the company’s best performers. Still, he stayed humble and told his juniors, “We’re not here to sell insurance; we’re here to sell peace of mind.”
Dr. Amit knew he needed to grow beyond numbers, even though these early wins gave him a base. He was keen to learn about business from different angles by looking into new fields. His next step was to become an Area Sales Manager (ASM) at Amar Ujala Ltd., which would do just that.
Dr. Amit Singh sincerely thanks everyone who has been a part of his life journey from the bottom of his heart. Mr. J. V. Singh and Mrs. Jyoti Singh are his parents, and he will always be grateful to them for giving him the values of honesty and kindness that shaped his life.
He is deeply grateful to his beloved wife, Rakhi Singh, whose unwavering support, patience, and faith have always given him strength through every challenge and success. He also thanks his family, friends, mentors, coworkers, and the hard-working people at Global Ibdaa General Trading FZE, who have been there for him through every success with trust and loyalty.
Dr. Amit Singh bows down to Sai Baba with all his heart and soul. Sai Baba’s divine guidance has shown him the way and brought him peace. He sees every success as a gift, a sign of grace, and a reminder to be humble and thankful.
Thank You
