Berger Becker Coatings India had just established itself in 1996 and operated as a joint venture between Sweden’s Becker Industrial Coatings and India’s Berger Paints. The venture served the niche, high-performance segments of coil and specialty coatings, with plants in Goa and Nagpur—an ideal context for someone eager to learn both craft and sector. The plant in Goa was equipped with advanced European technology, setting new standards in India’s coil and extrusion coating segment, and Dr. Pande became one of its earliest contributors in the technical and customer development domain.
The diploma in paint technology wasn’t just training; it was baptism.
