Dr. Razmi Bin Abdul Razak was born on 22nd October, 1962, in the diverse country of Malaysia. Dr. Razmi Bin Abdul Razak lived his childhood with rich dreams that could touch the skies that he was accustomed to seeing all around him. Dr. Razmi Bin Abdul Razak, as a young boy growing up in Perak, was fascinated with flight every time, living in a lush green area that surrounded him with a small but quiet pattern of village life. He would watch airplanes cutting through the clouds, imagining what it was like to be on board one and above the clouds, mountains, oceans, and the very clouds that forced him to look up from his ground. It was the charisma of adventure, freedom, and a view that few get to see.
Fate, as it so often did, had in mind a different fate.
More than textbooks and chalkboards was what schooling provided him. It gave him the influence of passionate educators, who did way more than just teach; he was inspired by them. Those who were giving to his cause, and from whom they were learning while giving, started to efface his childhood dream of aviation with a more mature understanding of what it meant to inspire and inspire others.
Seeing as he stepped into the halls of higher learning, education was clearly no longer just a career plan. It was a mission. He made his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) at the prestigious University of Malaya from 1985 to 1987. These years helped him to cement his purpose. In 1988–89, he enrolled in the Aminuddin Baki Institute under the Ministry of Education to further equip himself in educational leadership. He also pursued another degree from the University of Malaya, a master’s in principalship from 2000 to 2001.
Through those academic achievements, Dr. Razmi Bin Abdul Razak lived for his country indeed. Education always held a significant place for him, not just for personal success. This was a tool for national progress. He viewed the classroom as a reflection of society, where good values, vision, and leadership can be injected into young minds to create an eventual future for Malaysia. He started to think outside of his own role, outside of the walls of academia. It was undeniable that he felt a duty to serve students and his whole nation.
That duty did not end with education. His contributions towards community service were fulfilled through various NGOs where he dedicated endless hours towards underprivileged communities. Dr. Razmi Bin Abdul Razak had personal missions against poverty, inequality, and lack of access to education. His life was for humanity, and he believed in every endeavor, however small, as a form of fighting to make this world a little less cruel and a little more just.
