Dr. Patel has one younger brother, Dr. Vikrambhai Patel, with whom he shared a strong bond during their childhood and forever.

In 1980, Dr. Raj took a significant step forward by enrolling in LH Science College, Mansa, to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree.
